Nigeria’s Biggest Make Up Fair rolls out for the 28th time, and it promises to be bigger than ever.

As she prepares for the 28th edition of what is now the largest Make Up Fair in Nigeria, we caught up with one of Nigeria’s most brilliant minds in the Beauty Industry, Omolola Faleye, who currently holds the role of Founder @popsconceptsng & VP @themakeupfair.

The conversation was short, but her passion for, and in-depth knowledge of the Beauty Industry in Nigeria shone through immediately. Her witty sense of humour and “down to earth” nature also came across as she discussed the Make Up Fair Series and her background.

Recently named in the Top 100 Most Inspiring women in 2017 by Leading Ladies Africa, she shies from the glitz and glamour, and prefers to sit behind the scenes, pulling strings like the puppet master, but with a clear vision of driving growth for beauty brands across Nigeria.

Her background in Project Management with Alteq Abuja, her successes as a key franchisee for the sleek makeup brand, combined with her love for beauty industry gives her perfect combination of experience and passion required to succeed in this field.

As she prepares for the 28th Edition of the Make Up fair series and the 6th in Lagos, she reflects on the journey so far, and puts the secret of her success so far down to pure hard work, dedication and God’s favour. She wishes upcoming beauty entrepreneurs would focus less on the glamour and more on educating themselves better on how to grow their talent, products, customer service and the business skills required to compete with other African and International brands.

She also commented that tools like GlamAfric Platform would help anxiety that clients face trying to find & book beauty services, whilst providing beauty & wellness professionals with the business tools required to market & grow their services. This will make it possible for them to focus on developing their talent, whilst delivering great experiences to their clients.

To Lola, we say, THANK YOU, as we at GlamAfric appreciate the work you do and wish you continued success with the Make Up Fair. Hopefully, this time next year, we’ll be talking events in Kenya? South Africa? London? She laughs as she rushes to another meeting….

If you are beauty entrepreneur, brand, professional or just an enthusiast, the place you want to on the 17th & 18th June is at the Classique Events Place, Oregun, Lagos for the 6th Lagos Make Up Fair. It promises to be explosive. Check out http://popsconcepts.com/category/news/ for more details.
