What do you use to remove your makeup? Check out the Garnier's Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water

By Blushes & Dimples

Up until I bought the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing water, I'd been using the TARA makeup remover. The only problem I had with the TARA cleanser was the oil residue it left behind on my face after all the makeup was removed, it was a lot of oil and I didn´t like it. Despite that fact, Iwas going to buy it again until i read about the Micellar Cleansing Water and it got me. I have used it about four times now so a review is in order.

Not just a remover, a cleanser too!

The first thing that got me was the cute bottles (some pink, some blue, some green), then the reviews. People went on and on about how the Micellar Cleansing Water was a dirt magnet and lifts make up like magic. Of course I had to see for myself, plus I was out of a makeup remover.

I like the fact that this is not just a makeup remover, it is a face cleanser as well and a very gentle one at that. It contains no alcohol, no oil and no fragrance. It can be used on the lips as well as the face and the eyes. Oh, and the best part is that it is suitable for all skin types., sensitive skin included.

How effective is the Micellar Cleansing Water?

It took off my eye-makeup in two swipes. All I had to do was soak my cotton pad and swipe. I didn´t even have to hold the pad over my eyes for a few seconds like they said on the bottle, I just saturated my cotton pad and swiped. The first swipe takes off all the eyeshadow, the second swipe tackles the winged eyeliner, then I soak a cotton bud in the product and use it to clean my water lines. The cleanser is ophthalmologist tested, so it´s safe on the eyes (but you should still avoid getting it in your eyes as much as possible).

It melts foundation and powder off the face like magic! I change the cotton pads and clean until there is no more foundation on the new cotton pads. Lastly I wash my face with my face soap, only when i feel like it, other times the job done by the Micellar Cleansing Water is good enough for me.

No oil residue

I´m so happy that this product doesn´t leave any oily residue at all on my skin. Have I mentioned how gentle it is?

Yes? Ok.

This product is amazing! I don´t understand how it does the job but it really is perfect. On the bottle, it says that it´s a multi-purpose cleanser that contains micellar technology (whatever that means....looool!). Maybe it's the "technology" that does the great job

It also says that it removes even waterproof mascara, I'll definitely be trying that out.

So you don´t only use the product to remove makeup but to cleanse the face. When I come home from the market or school runs and my face has that sticky feeling that comes with our hot weather, this is my go-to product. Afterwards, my face feels really refreshed and doesn´t feel dry at all.

Unless another brand comes out with an even better makeup remover / cleanser, I will definitely buy the Micellar Cleansing Water again.
